Our Work
A selection of custom homes and architectural remodels completed 2021-2024 across San Diego's coastal communities.
Custom Home • 2024
La Jolla Shores, San Diego
A striking modern home featuring clean white stucco exterior, angular architecture, and rooftop deck with glass railings. The centerpiece is a custom-designed saltwater pool with turquoise mosaic tiles and curved spa feature that serves as the focal point of the outdoor living space.
The home's boxy contemporary design maximizes interior volume while creating dramatic shadow lines across the white facade. Large windows and sliding glass doors connect interior spaces to the pool terrace, while the rooftop deck provides additional outdoor living area with panoramic views.
"The pool design exceeded our expectations. Our architect suggested the curved spa feature and turquoise tile that makes the water absolutely glow. We spend every weekend by the pool now. The rooftop deck was a brilliant addition—perfect for watching sunsets with friends."

Kitchen Remodel • 2023
Del Mar Village, San Diego
Bright modern kitchen featuring white shaker cabinets with distinctive copper leather-pull hardware and a striking white hexagonal tile backsplash. The design centers on a large white marble waterfall island with natural wood base and seating for four, creating a warm transitional aesthetic perfect for daily family use and entertaining.
The copper leather-pull hardware was a custom selection that adds warmth to the all-white palette. The hexagonal backsplash creates visual interest without overwhelming the space, while the natural walnut island base introduces organic texture that prevents the kitchen from feeling too clinical.
"We wanted bright and clean but not cold. Our designer nailed it with the wood island base and copper hardware—those details make it feel custom, not cookie-cutter. The hexagon tile was my favorite splurge. Eight weeks from start to finish, and we stayed in the house the whole time. Seamless process."
Whole Home Remodel • 2024
Carlsbad, San Diego
Complete interior renovation transforming a traditional 1980s home into a modern open-concept living space with seamless indoor-outdoor connection. The project features a stunning wood accent wall, contemporary kitchen with light wood cabinetry, and floor-to-ceiling black-framed glass doors that blur the boundary between interior and garden.
Indoor-Outdoor Living: The centerpiece of this remodel is the massive sliding glass door system that completely opens the living room to the backyard. On warm days, the 16-foot opening creates one continuous entertaining space spanning 900 square feet.
Natural Materials: We balanced modern minimalism with warmth by incorporating natural wood and stone throughout. The wood accent wall adds texture and visual interest while maintaining clean lines.
"We bought this house for the location but dreaded the dark, choppy interior. Keystone's design opened everything up completely. The wood wall and glass doors transformed how we live—we entertain constantly now. The attention to detail on the millwork and material selection made this remodel feel truly custom."
Master Bath Remodel • 2023
Encinitas, San Diego
Minimalist spa-inspired bathroom featuring a sculptural freestanding soaking tub and floating vanity with vessel bowl sink. The design emphasizes clean lines, natural light from tall narrow windows, and a serene neutral palette of whites and soft grays that creates a calming retreat atmosphere.
This bathroom was designed with Japanese-inspired minimalism in mind. Every element serves a purpose, and the lack of clutter creates a meditative space. The tall windows flood the room with natural light while maintaining privacy. The vessel sink and freestanding tub are sculptural focal points that elevate the simple material palette.
"This bathroom is my sanctuary. The freestanding tub positioned by the windows is perfect for relaxing baths. Our designer convinced us to go with the vessel sink, and it's become a conversation piece. The whole space feels like a boutique hotel—simple, elegant, calming."
